Peter’s Diary (22): The Smiling on the Wall.

Last night, after a few glasses, a funny thought crossed my mind: This charming lady on the wall tries not to sell some products with her smile. No, her smile is especially for me. Sounds funny, doesn’t it? Maybe. But on the other hand: Why should’nt I take some comfort from this advertising? Because in […]

Peter’s Diary (21): Nobody remembers Tom Wildt.

“Tom what?” No answer, just a stupid question from this guy I met ’round here. But fact is: This journalist, Chris Fisher, from the Financial Times, was a friend of Tom Wildt. That’s for sure.

Peter’s Diary (20): New Home.

Have to stay longer in Shanghai. Hotel’s too expensive, my client in Zurich told me. Moved into a small apartment. Quite nice.

Peters Tagebuch (20): Neues Zuhause.
Muss länger in Shanghai bleiben. Hotel zu teuer, sagt der Kunde. Bin umgezogen: in ein kleines Apartment. Ganz nett.

Peter’s Diary (19): E-Wa’s alive.

“Tom Wildt, this guy with that pretty Shanghai girl on his side?”, asked me the man in the little shop on the other side of the street. “Of course he was here, a year ago or so. But he’s dead, was killed near the Peace Hotel. Didn’t you know?” “And the girl?” “She’ll never die, […]

Peter’s Diary (18): Losing my Way again.

I’ve got a notion that I’m on a wrong place again. And not for the first time. To search without any result makes me sick in the long run.

Peters Tagebuch (18): Verirrt. Schon wieder!

Peter’s Diary (17): Chilly Shanghai Nights.

The weather reflects the mood I’m in: cold and chilly and dark. How can you find a solution if all circumstances are against you?

Peter’s Diary (16): Where to go?

That’s the entrance to the hospital, from where they kidnapped the corpse of poor old Tom. But where to go to ask questions?

Peters Tagebuch (16): Wer weiss was? Wer sagt was?

Peter’s Diary (15): Lun Wu loves Tea but not talking.

Lun Wu saw Tom dead at the crime scene. Which means: he’s a witness! So I went to his shabby apartment  round here. He offered me tea but refused to talk. Great…!

Peter’s Diary (13): She’s supposed to be round here, but she ain’t.

Got an anonymous tip-off. But… This whole chasing thing make me lose my train of thought.

Peter’s Diary (12): Helen seems to be afraid.

Had a long discussion with Helen in a little bar near the Peace Hotel. She’s really nice - and beautiful, too. Helen told me quite a few things about Tom, she was his colleague at the New Trans Pacific in Zurich. But, unfortunately, when I started to talk about Tom’s job in Shanghai, Helen wouldn’t […]
